I'm a UX and human factors researcher and a PhD student at Arizona State University. I work across healthcare, accessibility, aerospace, and education — turning behavioral evidence into design.
PhD student in Human Factors Engineering at Arizona State University, and a Graduate Research Assistant in the Systems Psychology Lab — building and evaluating a VR team-training environment for combat medic lifesavers on Meta Quest 3.
Research and design across healthcare, accessibility, aerospace, education, and team performance.
A first-author heuristic evaluation of an immersive VR training environment, built with the ASU Systems Psychology Lab.
View project →A dual-interface system that reduces caregiver load, built from interviews and Wizard-of-Oz testing.
View project →One system that carries a passenger's accessibility needs from booking to deplaning. With Honeywell.
View project →Workspace, alerting, and automation design for a three-role UAV ground control station.
View project →Mixed-methods research (16 interviews, 9 surveys) that became a prioritized redesign roadmap.
View project →A UX critique, compliance review, and go-to-market strategy for a child-safety product.
View project →I sit between behavioral science and design — and I came to it from engineering.
I started in computer science, which keeps me comfortable with data, metrics, and constraints. But people were always the point. So I moved toward research that starts from behavior: interviews, usability studies, and structured evaluations that show what people are really doing — then let that evidence drive design.
My doctoral work at ASU looks at how teams coordinate under pressure, using an immersive VR environment to train and study combat medic teams. My work spans hospice documentation, air-travel accessibility, ed-tech usability, and safety-critical systems — with a through-line of high-stakes, human-centered problems.
Built and evaluated an immersive VR environment for team training of combat medic lifesavers on Meta Quest 3, with an emphasis on usability and error-aware task workflows.
Mentored 20+ interdisciplinary student teams through the full research and product-design process, from concept to functional prototype — several evolved into student-led startups.
Partnered with engineering to design a B2B e-commerce platform that streamlined product operations by 30% in 6 months; ran usability assessments with 50+ participants to find critical friction points.
